1. General information
The main objective of these training complements is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the theoretical, conceptual and application framework of the content and legal regime of the employment contract, in order to acquire the basic competences that will allow them to understand and apply the labour regulations to the management of human resources in the company.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030(https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), so that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject will contribute to some extent to the achievement of Goals 5 and 8.
2. Learning results
- To find and understand the regulations governing the employment contract and its content.
- To know how to identify the labour regulations applicable to human resources management in the company.
3. Syllabus
- The system of sources of labour law.
- Characterization of the legal-labour relationship and the types of employment contracts.
- Content, modification, suspension and termination of the employment contract.
4. Academic activities
- Master class (20 hours): presentation of the contents of the complements by the teacher.
- Solving of exercises, problems and cases (20 hours): analyse different professional situations in order to apply the knowledge acquired at a theoretical level and find solutions to real cases.
- Non-attendance work in the network (ADD-Moodle) and individual student work (58 hours): reading, understanding and study of the material taught in class and that included in ADD-Moodle (Anillo Digital Docente) (non-attendance).
Assessment tests (2 hours): exams and other evaluation activities
5. Assessment system
The training complements are assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
- Individual written test (80% final grade):
- Completion of an objective multiple-choice test (60% final grade): it consists of 10 questions with 3 alternative answers, one of which is correct. There is no penalty for failure.
- Exercise/case study (20% final grade): completion of exercises and/or a small case study.
- Participation and attendance (20% final grade): assessment of the students' attendance and active participation in class, both in the classroom and non-classroom part, as well as in the tutorials of the training complements.
The results obtained will be graded in accordance with current regulations. The assessment tests will be carried out on the dates established and communicated by the teacher.
